Thread: Deceptive site warning

    Deceptive site warning

Google Chrome browser is displaying a warning on this website. Here is the info on deceptive site warnings.

    http://botcrawl.com/deceptive-site-ahead/

It shows up on Chrome and seems to be a google thing. Internet Explorer does not have it.

Also, you can disable it (each time) on your Chrome browser by clicking "Details" (bottom left of screen) And then clicking "Visit this unsafe site" in the second sentence.

Not sure what Google found but be careful opening attachments perhaps of people you don't know.

It is also appearing on Mac and iPad. I did send it a report that it was fake, but it seems to be getting worse

I was made aware of this about a week ago. I have yet to experience this myself. Perhaps it is only a certificate registration issue. Maybe something dark and sinister. Be patient. We'll figure it out in due time. If your experience worsens soon, please let me know soon. Thanks.

It's a warning that this is a known phising website, and has "danger" displayed in the address box.

I'm not getting that on any of my devices running Safari or Explorer, etc. Seems as though perhaps it is only a Chrome issue. Look for the dhamma in this annoyance.

Save this as your shortcut and conceivably you should be safe.

I tested the above link with Chrome and had no issues.

I pasted your link onto my Chrome browser, but when I clicked it, the address changed to:

    "DANGEROUS http://www.dhammaloka.org.au/community/forum.php"

And when I clicked that, the " deceptive site" notification comes up.

My internet explorer browser is okay, just Chrome.

Sounds to me like your version of Chrome is corrupt.

Or, there could be an issue in settings blocking this site. Has any of you recently updated Chrome or Windows? Default settings could have changed causing this situation for you.
