    A little Nalagiri Strategy

    Dear Friends in Dhamma,

An article of mine has been published in an e-magazine called elephant journal in the USA. For me in Sri Lanka this is a great deal. It is about the well known "Nalagiri Strategy"which Ajahn Brahm has taught us. I mentioned his name and a link to his website too, which has been taken away by the editors though.

Please read it and add your comments at the end, so that this would start a dialogue and spread the message across the world.

    with mettha,

PS. about the photo at the end. Actually, I had to give a photo as it was requested and the only one I had was the one in my resume. It looks too official. But what's to be done!! So please bear with me.

    Hi Pushparani

I agree, metta does lead the way. Without it and its' cultivation in some form and to some degree, we may as well forget about the rest of the Path.

It's a lovely article; I particularly like the imagery you conjure around Nalagiri and his rampage and the contrast between the quiet monks, the brave and loving Ananda and the amazing, beautiful Buddha.

    And the photo's quite nice.

    Hi Pushpi,

I read the article sometime back and posted, or so I thought. I really enjoyed your article. I was aware of the story of Nalagiri but never really knew it. Now I do and have thought of it several times as an analogy in context for other things. Your rendering of the story has been a help to me, and no doubt many others. Thank you for it, and be well.

    Metta,

    Jerrod : ))
